It is ironic, paradoxical and certainly unfortunate.

In the climate game the winners will be the cheaters, the moralizing liars. Their sole quality? They know how to bet to win each time.

In the middle or at the end of this century the climate may have evolved in only two possible ways:
it will have continued to warm up or it will have stopped warming and even gotten cooler.

• In the first case they will say: we all are the culprits again!
  Nasty and irresponsible humanity which did not show enough commitment to undertake the necessary actions; once more mankind shows itself incapable of redemption..
• In the second case it will be: Hurrah, we saved the planet!

Science, knowledge, and wisdom will have played no rôle in this.
